I'm so sick of this... it just never ends. This poor, sweet girl. The horrible nature of the crime sounds like someone "had it out for her" but just LOOKING at her photos, you know that couldn't be true. |

Shawna, I just read that too... this is just unbelievable. This YEAR alone we've had Meredith Emerson, Brianna Denison, Lauren Burk, and now Eve Carson and God knows how ever many more who didn't get national media attention. I'm sick and scared of this. |

I read this website daily and I am incredibly relieved that you are covering this story. I am an AU grad and current resident of Auburn. This town is a wonderful place to live and I hate to see these horrible events happening here. Sadly, the first though I had after hearing of this is that it is linked to the Slesinski case as well. I certainly hope not! Now, I look over my should everywhere I go. The fear is definately palpable right now. |

I'm so fed up with and disheartened by this country's violence. If a politician or presidential candidate stood up and addressed the crime in this country, and opted for ONE STRIKE laws for sex offenders, and stiff sentences for these other horrific crimes... would anything change? I don't know, but they'd certainly get my vote. |

M- it's not just this country. Breaking news that a rabbinical school in Jeruselam was shot up in the last couple of hours - something like 10 people have died and more injured. The whole damn world has lost its mind and has resorted to violence. |

Yes, I understand that, and was just speaking in generalizations. Politicians as a 'whole' need to step up in my opinion. The violence in the middle east is politically, religiously, and socially charged for the most part. That area has dealt with extreme violence for quite some time now, and while sad, I think of in a different way than I do the random violence in the United States... |

I live in the Chapel Hill area where the police chief just announced that they are in contact with Auburn due to the similarity in the crimes commited this week to students at both schools. |

I have always had a strong feeling that one of Lori's "friends" axed her and was smart enough to destroy her body. A male "friend" to be more specific. However, I am uncertain if police have ever even questioned him. I wonder if they might have had this same "friend" as an aquaintance. Anyone know if she was a Sky Bar regular? He is. |

I did on the anniversary of her disappearance-Surprisingly, that was the first I had ever heard of it and I live less than 25 miles away!!! I just got obsessed with it and read EVERY SINGLE THING I COULD and even talked to a couple of people that worked at the Mental Health Center. It's just a feeling, but it was so strong I felt it was worth letting the police know about. I've never been contacted for additional information. It sounds like the police are on top of this investigation, however. They claim they have solid leads and if we just give them a couple of days or so, they will be able to apprehend the killers. Yes, plural. (But that could have been a slip-up) |

WSBTV is reporting they have someone in custody for Lauren's murder. They found something in his car that links him to the murder. He had a robbery warrant out of Columbus, GA. No other details yet. |

Tell us more about an arrest? And let's talk more about Rick Ennis, better known as Richard Derrill Ennis, who has charges for Rape, Kidnapping AND Sodomy in 2003. This is NOT who I was referring to, but tell me more about him and his relationship to Lori. It looks like he's moved to Huntsville in the past year. |

the most disturbing thing about Rick Ennis is that he joined the crime library user forum on 6-17-06, Lori Ann Slesinski went missing on the 10th. He's never made any comments so I'm wondering what he's looking for. They were friends and supposedly hung out, judging from comments made on each other's myspace pages (his username is somaweary). This guy has a previous record of crime as well. |

Also, I think its important to note that Eve and Lauren's cases, though similar, are completely unrelated. Its impossible for it to be one killer. Besides, what has been revealed thus far in Lauren's case leads me to believe her murderer was a stranger, someone who overtook her while she was in her car. Supposedly she was on her way to the library to meet friends? She wasn't accompanied by anyone and was not sexually assaulted which eliminates a stalker/predator. |

It is not possible for Lockhart to have any involvement with the Lori Slesinski case. He was serving a 7 month jail term for shooting a fellow soldier while in the Army and was released in December of 2006 with a bad conduct discharge. I believe Lori went missing in June of 2006. What a piece of human waste he is. I'm sure he will blame it on something other than himself and "WE" the taxpayers will have to support his sorry *ss for the rest of his unnatural life! |

No one suggested that Lockhart had anything to do with Lori's case. That case is unrelated to Lauren's. I was suggesting authorities look further into Lori's so-called friend Rick Ennis. This guy should definitely be investigated further. |

Here's the truly sad fact. These "killers" don't love themselves. That's why it's so easy to de-value other people's lives. They've never been told that anyone loves them. |

Big news-The information at www.helpfindthemissing.com is just AWESOME! I just can't figure out how to post a comment on there-I'm new at all this. Grande-you need to know some new info-Rick supposedly purchased Lori's old car from her!!! He hasn't mentioned that in any of his posts. Also, it's very interesting that he's even (do you call this blogging?) on that site. If he is innocent of this crime (of course he is, until proven guilty) then his behavior is still suspect-it's as though he isn't telling us everything, yet he's certain we're missing pertinent information to solve the case. He's right. Rick-what are we missing? What's the link? Is is drugs? Tell us PLEASE! |

Just thinking out loud. Here's what we KNOW-Lori was obsessive compulsive about cleanliness. She caged her dog and left for the grocery store, which she completed a purchase at (based on the hundreds of searches I've done in the past year)Auburn Kroger, but the groceries never made it to her home. The police have never released information about what was or wasn't in the car (groceries) or what was on her computer-(did they get 1 or 2 computers-Rick says she got a new one at Christmas. She isn't heard from again. When a co-worker calls her mother on Tuesday (She went missing on Saturday) to find out if she's abandoned her job, her mother goes to her trailer and finds her dog unfed and locked up-and lonely and then reports her missing. Less than 12 hours later, her car is found on fire. That connection REALLY bothers me. Once she was reported missing the car was destroyed, but not before. Who was using it? |

One more thing-this is just hear-say-but supposedly the APD at one point was convinced that Lori was trafficking drugs. She had 2 sets of friends-even Rick alludes to this fact-and her friends from Troy were the ones she supposedly got the drugs from. hmmmmm............. |

When these charges went public, they also disappeared. I viewed them at alacourt.com, but tonite when I went to pull them up again to give you your info., they were completely erased as though they never existed! And I've NEVER seen this happen before-so he obviously knows an administrator or someone that knows how to remove stuff! I'm calling Tony at the alacourt office in Mobile in the a.m. to find out how he could make that happen and will re-post when I get you that info. I can tell you this-they were under the name Richard Larrelle Ennis with his date of birth and the charges were in early 2003 and were DC charges and there were 3 of them-all 3 cases linked (same number sequence)and the charges were Rape1, Sodomy, and Kidnapping. They were all bound to the grand jury and no action had been taken since mid 2003. This is odd too. Didn't the Grand Jury ever meet? What was the outcome? He claims on one of these sights that the charges were dismissed, but they didn't show that online. I want to say these charges were in Montgomery County, but I'm going off memory only. I'll let you know more tomorrow when I attempt to find out how he could get this erased. Interesting he admitted to it and then had it erased. Why not just lie about it? Just thinking out loud. |

OK-I'm an idiot!!! SORRY-this was driving me CRAZY-It's still there-Rick's middle name is Richard. His first name is Derrill and it WAS in 2003 and his dob is 8/6/80 if anyone needs it. If anyone cares to know, he didn't voluntarily leave Huntsville-he was kicked out a couple of weeks ago-unlawful detainer. We should probably have some pity on him-His father's past is a little shady as well-it looks like he didn't have a chance from the start. |
