If the Lori case is connected, maybe now they will find the evidence they need to resolve that case too! Does not appear there is any connection to the Eve Carson case, but only time will tell. |

There's a photo of Courtney Lockhart here at the Opelika-Auburn News: http://tinyurl.com/2443ph |
There's more detailed info here at the Times-Herald about Lockhart's crime spree and how he was caught: |
Courtney may well be the, 'boy named Sue' of 2008. |
Although Steve cautions us against making large leaps in connecting crimes, I wondered if one murder was personal, and the other random, but done by the same person to muddy the investigation. |
...on tv it just showed a pic of a man at a atm using eve carsons card - asking if anyone knows this person |
I've believed from the start that both crimes were separate and random. Attempted rape in the Burk case... such a tragedy. |
nursebeeme, |
Humans see patterns even when none exist. There's no connection between the murders of these two college girls, save the most general, meaning they seem to have been committed by complete strangers of another race & gender. |
The Eve Carson murder appears to be gang-related. Hoover Crips. Lauren Burke's murder maybe gang-related, too. |
Shoot, Burk, not Burke. |
Westboro Baptist Church is planning to launch one of their protests at Lauren's funeral. They have also scheduled a protest at the funeral of Eve Carson. |
These people and I use the term loosely at Westboro Baptist Church are sick. They are no better than the ones who committed the crimes IMO. |
Carson, a University of North Carolina senior and student body president, was last seen about 1:30 a.m. Wednesday by her roommates, who were leaving their living quarters and invited her along. Carson was studying and declined, saying she had work to do, Curran said. http://www.cnn.com/2008/CRIME/03...student.killed/

somebody knows that hat and that face |
Nana, the last I read LE were thinking Eve Carson was on her way to the copy shop to make copies when she was killed. She was known to work late at night. |
Pinecone, is that the website of the KS Baptist minister who said he preaches the Bible and he preaches hate? What blasphemy! |

So this nutjob is straying from protesting at the funerals of gay people, and is spreading it to include ANYONE who's death is reported in the newspaper/national media? Man, this guy is a true lunatic. Although, by "diluting" his supposed message--and revealing the depth of his insanity to his followers--he'll soon be pared down to just the handful of nuts that cling to his twisted branches. Assuming that is not the case already. |
Hmm. Upon a closer look at Westboro "Baptist", it turns out that it is a charismatic cult comprised almost entirely of two inter-married families, whose relgious tenants (created by the founder, their father) who do not believe in marrying outside their faith. I would not be surprised to learn that the granchildren and great-granchildren of Old Man Phelps turn out to be his own offspring. At least that means once the hateful old fuck dies, his church dies with him. |
Excuse me, that should read "whose religious tenants (created by the founder, their father) do not allow them to marry outside their faith." |
Yes, Nancy. Phelps is uncle Daddy to his entire congregation. I think they will be surprised to find themselves on the receiving end of the Wrath of God. |
Phelps and his "cult" are proof that evil exists, in sheep's clothing. They're gonna be really surprised when they are spending eternity in the fiery pits. |

These fools also rallied at the Brianna Dennison funeral. She is the student that was found raped/murdered after a couple of weeks of being missing in Reno. She was TAKEN from a couch in a friends home. She wasn't out late at night, or doing anything to portray "whore-ness". The Reno community rallied and all wore white sheets over their clothing and stood in a line with their arms raised and outstretched around the perimeter of the happenings at the funeral. They looked like angels standing there guarding the friends and family that attended. I just thought that was a wonderful way to combat these fools. |
The Patriot Guard was there to help at Eve's funeral. Thank God for them. |
