I too try some humor when the 'boards' get nasty. Sometimes they just go away mad..as long as the rightwingers go away..who cares?

The big offense they always claim which I find immensely amusing is the liberals are really intolerant and if they don't agree with you, they will attack you... While some of their points may be true I think they open themselves up to a standard and or some illogical theory and if you point it out to them you are attacking them. HUH?

Hey, Truffle! Interesting post. I'm with ya; I've always been in favor of humor (and calling someone on logical fallacies) in troll smackdowns. I try to avoid Mallard Fillmore, but I've been following almost all the conservative editorial cartoonists in a series called Righwing Cartoon Watch (I'm due for another one soon). Because editorial cartoonists tend to be anti-authoritarian and skeptical, it makes conservative cartoonists really quite odd. Some do have some wit and will skewer conservatives, but many basically illustrate GOP talking points, most of which are completely false. Gary and Glenn McCoy also like to bring up Chappaquiddick, which is really pretty pathetic since it's been almost 4 decades. And boy, has Dennis Miller gotten pathetically unfunny! (As to Ann Coulter and her special blend of bile, well, I have a long post on that one.)
