Gravatar Well see, the problem is, if I were to write about this, I'd have to be fair and actually read it. And Liefeld's art hurts my eyes.

Kyle Baker sort of imagined King David as an extreme sports fanatic. I highly recommend Kyle's book (entitled KING DAVID so it shouldn't be hard to find).

One of these days I'll be finished writing my reimagined Bible story and can finally send it to Mike Netzer to draw.

Gravatar The only comic book I ever took a long-term interest in was Dave Sim's "Cerebus." Nothing else in the industry ever piqued my interest in the same way, certainly not the fare served up in appallingly large doses by DC and Marvel. (Jeff Smith's "Bone" series might have been more interesting to me if it hadn't been what I thought of as a blatant ripoff of Walt Kelly's daily comic Pogo.) And not only did "Cerebus" come to an end in 2004, Dave Sim had spent the last several years of the series' run going out of his way to reveal himself as a major douchebag. So I guess I'm done with comic books for life...

Gravatar Completely OT, Happy New Year, Truffle!

Gravatar Wow - I wonder what would happen if a stiff wind hit Cap't America from the back? Would he just hit the ground and bounce back up?
