That is so disappointing! How can a museum, an art gallery or a zoo/aquarium be set along side a gambling establishment?
We went to a free art gallery last weekend and saw an exhibition of Bob Dylans art- brilliant.
Art/culture is what makes us different from apes if people are excluded from human culture because of their inability to pay an entrance fee they will never gain an awareness of the rules and norms within society. It's a very small step from there, to thinking it's OK to knife your neighbour and that it's normal to take/sell drugs.
All we can actually do is make a difference in the small part of the world we can influence. Helping people in little things does make a difference to the big picture.

Arts are always the first thing on the chopping block.
It takes vigilante-style protesting to make a reversal on that.
These suits do not understand the importance of creativity in life, or they would not consider cutting those budgets.
Even those that do understand the importance of creativity in life sometimes miss the message.
Give the fuckers a chance to be human, and complain.
