Hypocritical commentary

Gravatar OMG, if I want a business blog I will tune in and I do, you got that right. No, I am here to say I haven't gotten either email that let's me know you posted.

I love those emails.

But more importantly, is it intensive purposes or intents and purposes?!?

I leave you with that question and wish you a good weekend.

Gravatar Phooey. That's no good. I'll go kick the email-sender-thing-a-ma-jig.

And good catch on my entirely incorrect use of a cliche. That's the first time anyone has mentioned that to me. And I (unfortunately) tend to use that phrase--for all intents and purposes--on a regular basis. Correction noted.

Gravatar Rick,

Thanks for the mention. This is the first time that I have read your blog and I really like your posts. Your posts tell a nice story. I also noticed from your blogroll that we read a lot of the same blogs. Having said that, I just wanted to clarify that I do not believe that the main reason businesses should be blogging is to hard sell products/services. On the contrary, blogging, IMHO, is about initiating and nurturing relationships that will lead to an increase in business. However, not offering the occasional call to action on your blog is like handing out your card at a networking event and not telling the person to please call if he/she ever needs your services.

Cheers,

Patrick Dodd

Gravatar Patrick,

Sorry for the tardy reply. I've been battling the flu.

Your post was just a launching point for my rant, and I tried my best to provide some distance between your blog and that rant. But, thank you for stopping by to clarify your position for the readers.

Fully agree with you on the purpose of blogging to initiate and nurture relationships. And lookee here. We just started one.

Thanks, again,
Rick
