Gravatar Way to sum it up for Santana's big game today. Anyone read the article from the Star Tribune from Pat Reusse's column about the Pohlad's?

Gravatar Santana was unbelievable, and, crazily enough, it never felt like a game after Cuddyer's homer, despite Millwood also pitching lights out. I do wonder though, with Sosa having cleared revocable waivers, if maybe the Twins could pick him up. Maybe he's only good for lefty's, but if he can hit Santana on a night that could have been the best pitching performance in MLB history (19-20K perfect game!?), then he's still worth it. I mean no offense Jason Kubel, but Sosa has 16 homers and 72 RBIs in about the same number of at-bats as your 9 and 44, plus Sosa's RISP is well over .300. I kinda hope that he showed Terry enough to bring him over.
Anyways, just a thought.

Gravatar I never really thought we'd lose the game while Johan was in the game.

The only time I questioned it was when he left, and Nathan came in. I thought Santana should stay in, should it made me a little nervous with a one run lead.

Also, I read the Strib story, and it was interesting. They really need to sign Johan.

Gravatar For others wanting to read the Strib story, it is at: http://www.startribune.com/twins...ry/ 1370428.html

It is a good article to read as one is left to ponder why Carl Pohlad doesn't spend money on payroll like fellow billionaire George Steinbrenner does.

Gravatar I wish he would.

We aren't as low as we used to be, but if we'd up it just a touch, maybe Hunter and Santana could both stay.

After today, I don't want to see what it would be like without Johan for sure.

Gravatar Gardy reported that Rick Anderson and he were going to allow Santana to decide if he wanted to pitch the ninth inning, but when he doffed his cap, he implied he was done.

Gravatar Yeah, I read that as well.

Wish he wouldn't have done it so soon
