I would think that this trade might put the Mets in the lead to get johan. If the Mets are willing to part with either david wright, or jose reyes. I looked at some stuff on the rays website and there seems to be a consensus that harris might be a better long-term 2B than SS. If we could get Reyes and Humber and a couple other lesser prospects for Johan, we would have reyes and harris up the middle, a huge upgrade over punto/casilla and bartlett. We could then look to fill the third base hole with a Nathan trade. Or they could try to get Wright for Johan, and J.J. Hardy for Nathan...that would be a nice infield, Morny, Harris, Hardy and Wright... Yet another option could be going to the Dodgers with Johan and getting Matt Kemp to play center and Andy LaRoche to play third, keeping Harris at SS and Platoon at 2B...Lots of options here...Either way, I think we should still be contenders next year.
