Thanks, Monk, for sharing this story. And K, thanks to you too, for not being able to not help. It's good to know there are people like you out there. |
That's just an absolutely fantastic story. |
that is officially the coolest thing I've heard all week. Thanks for posting it. |
That is a great and wonderful thing. Yay for not being selfish. |
Awesome, baby - wish I could have seen that. |
And knowing you, you'll send him a free replacement, won't you? |
What a great testimonial for your rope! And what a great person K is. Good on ya. |
Well, I think your rope has just been weight-tested, eh? |
very, very cool. |
Great story. |
Hi Kayti - |
I'm a step ahead of you Max, the offer to swap out the used rope has already been made. I want to see the results of that much stress first hand. |
Monk, if it does it justice i would love to see, and i think other as well, might want to some photos of that wonderful piece of rope. i've done a fair amout of rock climbing so i know what the results of stress and ware can do to climbing rope; so i it would interesting to see the affects on your rope. |
That is a cool story |
Wow everyone thanks for all the nice comments... I am sure yu all would ahve done the same and Max thanks for the wonderful offer you are way to generous. |
So is there a separate merit badge for that? Emergency Rope Slut , Good Bondage Citizen, or Abigail's Angels badge? (ooh, i like that last one) Possibly a Golden Abigail for Meritorious Rigging? Teehee. |
the whole story, plus (or especially) Max and Monk's responses, are incredible. |
I love those badge ideas! |
ooooh and to think the girl scouts kicked me out... i could have been one of the first girl scout to get a badge in that... |
*laugh* the Girl Scouts kicked me out too! For being a disruptive influence...which is just ridiculous. |
Oh there ARE good people in the world! Thanks for sharing! |
This is the niftiest thing I've read all day, Monk |
A bit late but I thought I should mention that before i thought things through I threw to fated rope away. The water that was backing up was far from clean... it was the nice greyish brownish color that you couldnt see an inch into... and since Milwaukee has this nice little habit of backing its sewers up and then dumping raw sewage into the lake i began tp think of all the nasty things in the water and the thoughtof those againt my skin kind of grossed me out... but as Jake pointed out I should have saved the rope and washed it and then put in a glass case or something for the Monk musume... so sorry guys... I wasnt thinking. |
