This is a fabulous post. I always like reading about what toppish sorts like in a scene, because I'm so _not_ a top that sometimes I have trouble flipping my head around to the other side. Now, however, I have a question...
Paper clips? I kind of want this to mean that you stick notes to people with needles instead of post-its, because the image makes me bounce around in glee (it can be fun to label people!!!), but I suspect that's not what you mean at all and I'm curious.

(who somewhat recently had a blast mixing needles, blood, and maniacal giggling. Midway through the scene in question, someone came into the room to see what was generating the shrieks of laughter and was just saying "You two are having way too much fun" when she saw what we were doing and ran back out the door)

Makes me wonder what my top 10 list is. I think that 8 of the 10 are on my list too... and that's only because I haven't done needles or GS yet!
Wow--absolutely gorgeous. I love the insight into a top's head--I'm very, very submissive, and I love learning what it's like for "the other half."
So many tops are so similar yet so different. It really makes me wonder what it'd be like to work with someone else, other than the man I'm used to.

It's funny, but much of your list could be on MY list of favorite things in an encounter. that is, many of them reflect the give and take between the top and the bottom. I suppose that's the biggest reason you are so neato!
Great list! I'm still squirmish about needles and blood, tho.
