Rona - I think the rant wasn't directed at the fact that the person was curious about Monk's relationship with Tambo per se, but because the person said they felt sorry for Tambo. That was a fucked up thing to say. Personally, I've never once got the impression that Tambo is either lonely or a figure to be pitied. Monk has always painted her as a lovely and hugely supportive partner.
Monk - Loved the rant. I, too, have been curious about Tambo so it was great to hear about her sadistic side. I gotta admit that hearing the awe in your and Matisse's voices when talking about what she does just tripled my curiosity. You had me laughing so hard I was crying when you were talking about how she'll want to do this stuff that you want no part of. Great podcast!
I can't remember if I've commented here or not but...
You guys (Monk, Matisse, Tambo, etc etc) are so cool I just want to explode. Consistently funny and thought provoking, and you and Matisse have beautiful voices and are a pleasure to listen to.
