By the grace of G-d
Shalom uBrocha!
Chabad of California Telethon raising money in the name of seemingly large unmbrela Chabad organisation and in fact spending it the way organizer wants is not an isolated incident. The http://www.lubavitch.com is a very similar thing an outsider would think that the money is being raised for all Chabad Lubavitch movement. In reality the money raised there is given to Shluchim who agree with the ideology of Yudel Krinsky http://www.yudelKrinsky.com (In fact rumor has it one has to proclaim "Yechi Yudel LeOilam!"-Long Live Yudel Forever and Ever! before recieving a dime).
The solution sugested by Tzemach seems right.
For me the one sugested here though: http://www.rabbiyess.com/
Rabbinn...alpractice.html seems too harsh and somewhat unfair if a person benifits from the services provided by the Chabad House he ideologicly disagrees with.

PS:Tzemach what you say here in the 1st paragraph http://www.mentalblog.com/2004/1...-
lubavitch.html doesn't apply to many Shluchim I know many are extreemly idealistic and their goals are in the reverse order from what you describe here this even aplies to many (not all though) of "not overtly Mashichist Shlichim" I know. The Shluchim are usualy people with great talent and charisma if they'd be in it primarily for the money like you seem to imply in the post above they would find a more proffitable job with fewer headaches.
Long Live our Master our Teacher and our Rebbe King Moshiach Forever and Ever!
