What is your fixation with the wjc "scandal"? Is Isi Leibler a relative? I don't see any other reason you would constantly give his allegations airtime without any hint that there are two sides to the attempts to ruin Singer's illustrious career. How do the laws of loshon hara apply here? How about the rules of fair reporting? Do you care?
WJC sends me tons of mail and I never asked them. Nor did they ever asked my opinion when unelected Edgar Bronfman and his officers speak on behalf of me and the Jewish people. Isi on the other hand spend years writing about his thoughts and views. I like what he has to says and this formed my sympathies. But let the audit sort things out.
When you say "Bronthman", do you mean Edgar Bronfman? Just curious. And by the way, if that's who you mean, he was just re-elected. Which other jewish organizations actually hold elections?
Thanks Shlomo, I corrected the spelling. The constituency of Jewish people on whose behalf Mr. Bronfman speaks did not elect him. WJC machers elected him. I doubt people who care about our future can elect someone who thinks intermarriage is OK.
I didn't know that there were 580 WJC machers out there. Not a very exclusive group. But seriously, do you really think you are giving Singer a fair shake? Is this all about politics? Not very righteous of you!
I hope Mr. Singer's name is cleared in an honest and transparent audit.
I think that rings hollow when for months now you have been coming off as a mouthpiece for Leibler. You've actually printed his e-mails directly without any background information. Would you do the same for any defense from the Singer camp? I can get you a copy of the 850 page report from the plenary in brussels that totally debunks Leibler's claims. Would you print from that? I eagerly await your answer. I think it will be telling.
I already told you that I am partial to Isi. I also distrust unelected Jewish organizations. Mr. Bronfman’s statements discredit him in my eyes. But I prefer letting the independent audit decide. There are people on the NY Attorney General’s staffs who are looking into this and who are paid to do this. This blog is a hobby for me. I have a day job. This story is not even a main story on my blog. This fight is between fabulously wealthy people and I am content to watch from the sidelines. Now you are welcome to send me what you like to be fare. But not the 850 pages of the Belgian waffles please.
I believe if you read it you would be fair. "Fare" is what you need to get on a bus.
Look there is an amount of money that went from point A to point B. One doesn't need to read 850 pages for that. One receipt will do. Good night!
