Gravatar I looked at all the pictures. They made me pretty sad to see. People when looking at these have to keep in mind what these people were protesting.

Gravatar Looks like a pogrom to me.

Gravatar who's doing the "Pogromming"?

Gravatar Mishtara

Gravatar In fact, one of the security guards stabbed an Avreich on Sunday.
It is worse than sad - it is outrageous that they get away with it just because the victims are "ultra-Orthodox" who the world loves to hate. Tell me, if the Chinese would do this to the Fallun folks, wouldn't there be screaming. If the Czechs would dig up graves in their land that had Jewish bones, wouldn't there be an international cry about anti-semitism. Why is it okay for Jews to brutally harm, desecrate graves, and not be called anti-semites?

Gravatar It's not only charadim that have to worry...
My wife has a "Masorati" Sephardic-Israeli relative, living in Bat-Yam (Tel Aviv), that owns a fruit store. B'kitzur, the economy has not been kind to the average Israeli small business proprietor - and being a socialist country, the tax burden is truly impossible.
He was unable to pay the tax assessment on his store, so our Jewish brethren who work for the Israeli version of the IRS came and beat him (with sticks/pipes, etc.) unconscious.
Unfortunately, he sustained brain damage of a sort, and he is no longer able to feel emotions of any kind, among other physical & emotional problems as a result... The doctors have some hope that they will be able to have some success treating the condition, but they have not been very successful yet.
