schneur, i dont see how it would be r' shmaryahu from TA given that he lived in israel most of his life and he has children who would probably be aware of it. it would make more sense IMHO, that its the rashag who hadnt been to israel in years, (from what i understand) had a difficult relationship with his family and his only child is no longer around

Anyone is Israel knows what's up with this land? Can you call the court, etc. Enough ramblings we need investigative reporters.

Barry showed me the boxes he received from his uncle"s Shluchim that suposedly contained his Yeruhsha from his parents apt, most of the boxes contained old sidurim and other shaimas from 770.

Re. Difficult relationship with his family." Bemechilas kevodcha", since when have we commenced writing about such private matters.
Many (if not most) children have turbulent relationships with their parents, but that hardly implies anything unusual.
We can ask many questions about familial relationships amongst contemporary gedolim, but wht bother, and this in my opinion is real Lashon Hora.

Indeed I can confirm what YS states. But details of the final settlement beween AGUCH and Barry Gourary were sealed and Barry chose not to speak about them, citing court orders. He did indicate he was satisfied with the nature of the settlement . This implied that AGUCH paid him several million dollars.
Of course $500,000 would have settled the case before it ever started !
But that was before Mrs. Gourary "injured herself".... in 770.

the point is that it's somewhat less likely for there to be a claimant to the plot. had there been a more positive relationship between them it would be more likely that he himself would have had acces to it.
thats why it makes more sense for it to be the rashag a sopposed to his cousin

What a historical revision you have done here. Chana did not “hurt herself”. SEE http://lebedigbomb.blogspot.com/.../live-
bomb.html
Chana actually was beaten severely. Let us go through the details again, since you seem to have forgotten what is fact and what is propaganda. Barry Gurary felt that he had the right to sell what his parent’s gave him permission to sell, books that were to be part of his inheritance. Mamash, for pride reasons, took offense, and began ranting and raving against Barry at public farbrengens, saying that anyone involved with the book sales was playing with “Lebedike Bombes” live bombs. One fanatical follower, Ehrentrau, became inflamed from the Mamash’s words and decided to become the first Chassidic Jihad terror bomber. He went, even though it was Shabbos, to Chana’s apartment, broken the door down and beat her bloody until she lay unconscious. She would have died, had it not been for a friend who got her to a hospital. The meshugane violent guy was whisked out the country by Krinsky that very same night. That is not the same as she “hurt herself”. In fact, the Mamash had, by his railing speeches about live bombs, invented something akin to a suicide bomber, he had convinced a young man that violence in the name of Jihad was okay. For a few dollars, the Mamash got someone to try and kill his sister-in-law. What is ironic is that those books that were in dispute fell into Krinsky’s hands, whose children are now selling them piecemeal. Barry couldn’t sell them because they “belonged to Lubavitch” but an unrelated Krinsky child can make money off of things that really do not belong to them, not according to Yerusha laws and not according to any logical sense.
