Who are the Schneerson-Twersky family of Crown Heights ? Are they from Hornsteipol originally and who is their Rebbe.

I know the Maliner Rebbe is einykel,but I think he lives in Milwaukee.

aaron zalman sharpe: There was a Rabbi Schneerson who came to Australia during the goldrush in the 1850s and collected a lot of Tzedaka. He left for South Africa and was never heard of again.

In fact the story is that he came to South Africa (specifically Cape Town) where he was collecting funds for the Mosdos: He contracted the Plague and passed away: i believe he was with his brother ( or so i have heard) In fact the Tanya printed in Cape Town is partly dedicated in his memory......but i guess it sounds better to say he converted:)
