Perhaps "pivotal renewal" is a good term to use.
Israel has become both a post-Zionist and a post-Jewish state. The govt, legislation, courts, media, artists, schools, and police have all gone so far away from the source that they no longer have any discernible connection either to traditional Zionism or to traditional Judaism. The result is a land of Dana International transvestisim, global drug dealing, stunning (and proud!) ignorance of one's own culture and history, and the political lunacy that has the whole world fighting terrorism while Israel is bending over backwards to create the newest terrorist state in Gaza.
Get back to Zionism and Judaism or else the Zionist State of the Jews is dead.
In the next incarnation of the Jewish state, people who never wear tfillin, take pride in eating Arab-baked pita on Pesach and have no idea that anyone significant is buried in Me'arat HaMachpela have no place sitting in parliament or deciding cases in court.

Saddened for the messianic wing of Lubavitch who just saw it’s last real cause evaporate
Not true. There is still Yesha (BTW: it is no longer יש"ע, it is now יו"ש - יהודה ושומרון. Better yet: יוח"ש - יהודה וחצי שומרון ). There is still the Golan. There is still East Jerusalem.
May Hashem have mercy on us all.

I heard that Rav Leibel Groner had a meeting with Ariel Shaton, where he sat him down and told him that the Rebbe strongly opposed parting land for peace. In fact, Lubavitch did come to the fore with a ruling.
