well i guess the implications are that the women won't be able to dance during the sermon, because then the sermon giver will glimpse the women dancing.

In the last perek of Mesechta Sukka, about 10 blatt from the end, the Gemmora (Mishna?) says that originally Simchas Beis Hashoeva was performed with the women inside and men outside - but this led to frivolity, so the put the men inside and women outside. That didn't work either, so they built balconies and put the women upstairs - That seemed to work. But I don't think that Women ever danced; they probably only came to watch the men dance, etc...
