Gravatar how in the world are the chasidim giving interviews with a microphone on yom tov? they6 are wearing a tallis and it is broad day of simchat torah?

Gravatar the reporter also appears to be a Jew.

Gravatar If they can violently fight on Yom Tov then why not speaking into microphones too? One aveira leads to another. The reporter may be a Jew by birth but to the Satmars he is a pork eating goy just the same.

Gravatar Not being a chasid, maybe I am missing something. Why can't there be splits in chasidic sects? If some people accept the authority of another rav - then they can form their own group.
Or is the money the thing?

Gravatar Ego, more than money,it is being righteous and holy, being kingpin that counts.

Gravatar It appears as if the Lubavitcher Rebbe was the smartest of them all. He knew that the same thing would happen in lubavitch if there was a successor. He gave his chassidim marching orders and a mandate to help bring moshiach and despite our differences, that is, and will remain the only goal.
It is truly pathetic when chassidic rebbes have to rely on the civil courts to get involved in these disputes.
It is all about power and money.

Gravatar "It is truly pathetic when chassidic rebbes have to rely on the civil courts to get involved in these disputes."

Like the Barry Gourary, o.h., book case the Rebbe took to secular court?

Gravatar With Chassidim like these, who needs misnagdim ?

It seems that quite a few Chassidic groups are involved in serious internal problems and violent feuds - Satmar, Bobov, Lubavitch, Vizhnitz, Klausenberg, Ger, etc.

With the decline in overt external hisnagdus from Litvaks, the Chassidim have taken to fighting among themselves and self-destructing. To paraphrase a posuk, misnagdayich umacharivayich mimech yeitzeu.

Gravatar It seems like you are not informed on what is happening in Ponevitz these days including this past Simchat Torah.

Gravatar I heard a good joke from someone -'Vos iz di chiluk tzuvishen Ponevezh un Satmar ? In Ponevezh shlogt min iber a shiur - in Satmar shlogt men ohn a shiur.'

Gravatar Question: how can the police tell the two sides apart?

Gravatar thats easy theres the group on the right of the barricade and the group on the left.

Gravatar Re Neil's comments. As if in Lubavitch tehre is not machlokes on every "trit und shrit" But its easier to see yenem's chesrones. The new Algemeiner Journal is an example of this writing about Satmar, Brisk and the national religious camp in Israel, but not about the 'shrit" in their home turf -Lubavitch.
Secular court: are we kidding here. Lubavitch and Aguch broke major ground in persuing this case (Gourary's inheritance ) in secular court and the declaration of Rav Krinsky that halacha has no remedy for this type of case which was published in the NY Times.I heard that the av was very upset by the lubavitcher rav's comment.
And in Lubavitch today its not about power and money. Let's ask Shemtov, Herson, Cunin etc. They all work Leshem Shomayim.
Satamr, Lubavitch, Bobov, Vishnitz, Ponoviesz etc. All the same kavod and money and "srorra". Except that in all cases except Chabad , a solution is possible. In Chabad no real solution is possiblead sof kol hadoros.
