You probably already know about this, since you appreciate hoarse singing and jazz musicianship, but I just saw last night a wonderful DVD of a live performance by the young Gypsy cantaor, Diego "El Cigala" and the aging Cuban pianist, "Bebo" Valdes. It is called "Blanco y Negro." Outstanding musicianship, tremendous emotional power, terrific Spanish poetry.
