i like the color ones much more. these seem a bit more academic,
although he is an excellent draftsman.

If you could view these and other drawings from the 50s and 60s in the original, you would see that they are not academic but very expressive and interpretive and powerful.

But he is an amazing colorist and painter, too. Why choose? I like it all.

BTW I encourage Big Berel and other Bostonian chaverim to follow Tzemach's lead and call the Blooms and go visit. You won't regret it!

I wish I could see his prints since a photograph shows him with an etching press. I have found there is little on his work. He is a great painter. I have known Levine for years but this man no.
