Just a few weeks ago, in early January, I wrote here about how it is always a good bet to vote on surprises in the Middle East. I am right again.
Prediction: the Israeli elections will have more surprises for us. The poll predictions are often considerably different from the final election tally.
The Israeli electorate can still move in any direction. Tommy Lapid has left Shinui, which is now squabbling over millions of Shekalim they all claim. Shinui is predicted to not get a single seat - and Shas is laughing (all the way to the bank?). There are more Knesset corruption revelations coming up every week.
Much can still happen here. And a lot of that will, too. Stay tuned....

I would like to second the nobel recommendation and suggest that we start a petition in support of Hamas's Nobel peace prize.
At the same time, I urge that we support Tsemach Atlas, representative of the Jews, for a Nobel prize in economics for keeping the world's financial markets running so well.

arutz sheva:
"While U.S. President George Bush says the U.S. won't provide funding for a Hamas-led PA, Ehud Olmert's government is apparently planning to forward tax monies to the PA this week."
