Gravatar This couple is gonna bring to the world a whole bunch of Tzanzer masmidim.

Gravatar I was not sitting with the Tzanzer.

Gravatar Not with you, Tzemach, but with his einikel of a masmid wife.

Gravatar And Chabad was known for it's depth in prayer.......Now it has turned into a bunch of drunk messianists.I have never heard of drinking alcohol before prayer, in fact I think that one may not pray if tipsy.

Gravatar not true, there is a famost story of Tzemach Tzedek drinkin a glass before Tfila.

Gravatar The Tzanzer should be be referred to as the Ropschitz/Tzanz Eineklel, as he also descends from R. Naftali Tzvi who was the Rebbe of R. Chaim

Gravatar The story was that instead of the usual glass of water the Tz Tz had before davening every day, the shamess once accidentaly prepared a glass of Vodka. After davening, when the shamess realized what he had done he came to the Rebbe to apologize, to which the Rebbe responded, "Aha thats why the davennen went so well today".

Gravatar TA- I'm curious, why do you keep returning to 770/crown heights? Obviously you have a distaste for the place and it's questionable whether you'd even consider yourself a member of the community, and yet you won't make the break. I wonder, is it for kicks (certainly no lack of entertainment around here)? Is it nostalgia? Could it be masochism (you must love feeling alienated, overlooked and totally disenfranchised)?
...

Gravatar S.H. compared to what we have in Boston CH is great! I will take above davening instead of Boston's any day.

Gravatar Coincidentally, I was in CH this Shabbos, and listened to laynen upstairs at 770. I saw the bottle on the table, and kind of wondered about it...

Gravatar We I davend in Kolel 2 times and the Minyan is a very nice Heimish and very very quiet minyan. Rabbi Heller does not allow anoyone to chat ( I am sure some sneak some chatting ) but in general it is a very Frum Quiet serious SHul.

I chose not to daven there since I have small kids and they will as kids do run around. But i give them alot of credit for starting a Minyan from scratch that has almost 100 regular Mispallim and over 3 hundred on Yom Tuv.

I cant answer why the fellow didnt say hi maybe you came late and maybe you left early to run to 770 and if davening started already he probably didnt want to interupt.

Try the place again when there is a Kidush with god food and good talking

Reb Neal Shlita

Gravatar i came and left on time.

Gravatar welcome tzemach.
i can assure you that youve witnessed nothing out of the ordinary, as its been a minhag at that table for quite some time. it was initiated by one of the members of the table who shall remain nameless. sometimes he'll daven mussaf for the omud afterwards. its unfortunate that the rest of us arent drunk when this occurs.

the optometrists name is not cohen (although he is one).

the darshan is not from israel; its antwerp.

i hope youve enjoyed your weekend. come by more often tzemach and you'll get to see mendel schneersohn sparring with itchik rivkin. this is quality entertainment.
