Excellent post. For once something we agree on!

in fact if the evil regime wanted to destroy just houses it would have sent giant tractors used for just that purpose, but olmert wanted to make his mark and increase his ratings among the voters.the leftists has been calling for "settler blood". so they got blood. now the left can feast while the world watches. and the anti-semites nod their heads and exclaim, "you see we were right"!
BUT, there is an eye that sees and an ear that hears. we will win because we are the children of survivors. we are pure and honest. we have the torah of truth. we will live while they ,the evil hellenists-arabists will perish from our land.BORUCH HA SHEM.

A much more powerful video short:

Olmert is an evil klipah that must be destroyed. He is beyond Teshuvah.

Did we ever hear the Rebbe talking like that?

Boruch, I agree with you. The settlers are the victims, to be sure. But their Chabad supporter do not seem to exhibit any care to speak like the chassidim of the Rebbe.

Reply to Boruch and Berl
Olmert is directly responsible for sending 60 Jewish children to the hospital including one that almost died. How would you feel about Olmert if it was your kids that got beaten up by Olmerts thugs?

Angry?

You bet Im angry. Every decent Jew should be angry and appalled at what that Rosha Olmert did.

That video is really something.

ma. rabbi,
Please address the point. Do you feel you are speaking in the spirit of how the Rebbe would want you to speak? "evil klipah that must be destroyed... beyond Teshuvah..."???? You guys are “post-Rebbe” on this subject and are out there free-lancing. When someone calls you on it, all you can do is restate the obvious wrongs by the Israeli government? Ma ynyon shmitoh etzel har Sinai?

P.S. And, since you brought the subject up, the adults that send/brainwash/allow kids to go up against bulldozers and brutal police are, well, simply scary people.

Reminder: it wasn't just adults who were carried out of their homes and made to watch their houses knocked down within minutes and arrested and kept in lockup. Teenagers and younger children got this treatment as well. Don't blame the parents - the kids may have come to their conclusions on their own.

I can only agree with what Berl and Boruch der Ayzel said.

But I must also add the following: What you have said is illegal in most countries, including Israel. It's called incitement and sedition. You are safe in MA, and can speak this way as much as you want, even though it is wrong. The worst that might happen is that you could be barred from entering Israel, like R. Avraham Hecht was.

But doing the same in Israel can an should lead to jail and even deportation. Those of you in EY should think about that before you post.

Gravatar Shmarya, since when do you put limits on the vile speech :?:

Gravatar Don't blame the parents - the kids may have come to their conclusions on their own.
Jake - with all due respect - please don’t insult my intelligence with this kind of statements. I have friends there; I know how the adults have been reacting to these ongoing clashes between their children and the army/police. The reaction is that of unbridled pride - these parents shepp naches! Nowhere does one see any attempt to rein in the teenagers. Furthermore, was it not the adults that educated these kids into believing that leaving a settlement is yehoreig veal yaaveir?

These events serve to validate what the average Tel-Aviv dweller already thinks of the settlers – “crazy scary fanatics who what my kid in the army to defend their insanity.” The case that needed to be made to that Tel-Aviv guy is that “he is next.” And that case has not been made thus far and was hurt by the latest events.

Gravatar Berl,

1) In my previous comment, I neglected to emphasize that I was referring to children who are refugees from Gush Katif, not children of other Israeli villagers. These children saw their homes destroyed, they sat in jail, some for weeks on end, they had their toys destroyed and thrown out by IDF soldiers and they now live out of suitcases as homeless refugees, with many of their parents
now unemployed. They do not need to be taught by their parents who the bad guys are. These children can draw their own conclusions.

2) You are correct, the citizens of Medinat Tel Aviv - who have for a long time seen themselves as living in a state separate from the rest of Israel - have to be shown that they are next in line. Either the friendly Hamasniks who will be a few miles from the Tel-Aviv - Haifa highway will get them or else the police that serves only the govt and not the citizenry will get them. The Tel-Avivians are dangerously complacent.

3) You are also correct that the recent pogrom in Amona has not helped the case of Israeli villagers. This is because Olmert understands that the Mitnachlim have been blamed (wrongly) by pathetic politicians (e.g. Peres, Barak, Beilin, Lapid) for many of Israel's ills and, having no real solutions himself, he is rushing to join this list. Blaming the old scapegoats will always get votes. Showing them angry and bloody actually helps Olmert, so he deliberately ordered the police to go beat up citizens, in violation of every decent police procedure handbook, to draw blood. If someone would have been killed, Chas VeShalom, he would have joined Altalena Rabin, who happily killed Jews to advance his own political career. Can Olmert stop himself now? Will he get even more desparate as the election campaign continues?
