The Rayatz fought not only for Judaism , but for purity of Judaism in post Czarist Russia. He fought against the attemps of someModern orthodox lay men in S. Petersbourg to organize a Modern Judaism.He oposed a rabbinical seminary there. He fought agaisnt similiar efforts to organize a Living Synagogue against attemps by Reb Shmuel Aleksandrov of Bobruisk to modernize Orthodoxy. So now his son in laws disciples are watering it all down . And for what purpose ?
