TA, I hate to be a "corn flakes pisher", but if you wish for "most of Lubavitch part of your audience to go away", all you have to do is post on other topics... Besides, by disassociating herself from you, isn't she doing exactly what you requested? You are sending mixed message wrapped in mixed messages.

Gravatar I put Jewish related links on my blogroll, not only Chabad. I must have visited the site once and rolled it. I don’t ask to be linked back, it a sort of a bookmark for me. And she is going out of her way to ask to be unlinked. If she wants a private club perhaps there is other venue besides the Internet?

Gravatar TA, for what it's worth, I am just making a simple observation. Take it or leave it.
A large portion (if not the majority) of your posts (not links to other blogs, but actual posts) is on Chabad-related topics. This determines your audience make up. So, in fact, you invite your Lubavitch audience in, then you ask them to leave and, when one of them takes your request at disassociation literally, you are miffed... Doesn't make sense.

Gravatar agreed :+:

Gravatar May I suggest that the reason they asked to be taken off is for modesty reasons, they are not looking to publicize their blog on your blog, because too many Lubavitchers come here, so TA don't be a baby, act a little mature and take this link off, it's not proper.
thanks

Gravatar There is one thing that is missing in my many conversations with Lubavitchers -humanity. Had she written an email saying for the reasons of privacy please take the link off. I would have complied. In fact there was a blog ring of girls from BR. They asked me to remove the link nicely and explained the very reasons you list. I removed it immediately. But here I was asked in a terse sentence to remove the link. No hello, no asking me by name, no thank you, etc. Just take off the link. And this is what you get when you talk like this to people.

Gravatar I hear you, and I agree with you that they should have been more polite, but at the end of the day you are not punishing them, your punishing all the bored Yeshiva boys who are going to add the HK blog to their Favorites... and maybe end up like Mishulovin, Okinov etc...Do as you understand.

Gravatar "Mishulovin, Okinov, etc"
let's not go crazy here, zuravitzer

Gravatar Yeshiva boys who are going to add the HK blog to their Favorites
let it be the worst site they add to "Favorites"

Gravatar I immediately thought, "uh oh! WAR" when I read the post. How did you get to her blog in the first place? -Zoe

Gravatar Did she ask you to tell everyone that she wanted her link to be removed?

Gravatar Tzemach; You have to shrug and not worry about other people's limitations. Some folks want to stay tendered to their comfort zone.

Gravatar Perhaps she used terse wording to avoid talking to a man . . . which is why she asked to be removed in the first place.

Gravatar she took down the blog!

Gravatar Well, don't you feel proud of yourself now?! What you did was evil.

Gravatar Since when did TA feel bad?
