As for the Rebbe, could take some lessons in working the crowd from david lavon ( of lecha hashem fame).
Its amazing. I have seen his father Reb Shloma do a mitzvah dance and they have the exact same moves. I guess in Bobov it alot easier to find a replacement Rebbe then in Chabad.
Is that what chassidus has come to:wearing shtrokes,giving a dance show and drowning your adversaries in a leffl vasser?
Who says the the Bobovers believe that this is the essence of their Chassidut?
Maybe yellow flag-waving and proclaiming a dead Rebbe to be Mashiach is what Chassidut has come to?
If you think that Bobov Chassidus is empty, well then I have to say: Chabad no less so.
Besides, how many times have I asked the "rabbis" at AskMoses simple halachik questions which they were not able to answer? Do they only put amharatzim on askmoses? I bet any Bobover rav could answer these questions because the standard in smicha is seemingly much higher among the "polisher" chassidim.

It is hard to discern the Chosson's face on this video, but if I am not mistaken this might have been the wedding of a yungerman, who converted to Judaism several years ago
and found his spiritual (or social, or both) home in Bobov.
The Chosson's story and the upcoming wedding were a cover-story of one of the Israeli haredi magazines a few weeks ago.
Bobov organized the whole Chasseneh (and presumably also covered the expenses) - so that's an outstanding Chessed.
A search for Bobov on google videos shows up plenty, the best ones are I think Hoshano Rabbo and the Simchas Beis HaShoevo.
R' Bentzion does appear to have retained the vast majority of his father's (and brother's) flock, unless there are many more of them than I thought.

But I will admit that there is more to these guys than that. Belz has some of the best dayanim and young ones at that in the world. Bobov under rav Mordche Duvid is getting down to Tzanser business and even satmar has a large cadre of talmide chachomim , More horioh etc. Look at heichal HaBesht and you see these "peylishe" guys know lots of Chassidus , history and even chabad chassidius.
So we need to distinguish between the kelipos and the essence of Chagas.
Even in Chabad in the last years the rebbe had to do "body work" to get the eylem all worked up.
But the Lubavitcher rebbe was Chabad his knowledge was there for all to se as was his seriousness.
What happened to the kallah towards the end? Whisked offstage?
Its nebach on that kallah she was probably tramatized! Shes just standing there with thousands of men surrounding her. I was too preoccupied thinking how awful she must feel, to really notice anything else that was going on.
Reb Mordche Duvid has a vast following and most of the men between 16-35 are in his camp. Observers report that Rav en Zion has a middle aged following . But Bobov like other groups has grown by natural means and there must be some 10,000 Nefashos there over 1,000 families so there is enough for both.
The tremendous birth rate enjoyed by groups like Bobov, Popa, Skver,Kluizenberg have all put them on the map and who knows if Bobov is that much smaller than Chabad.
