Accd. to Jerusalem Post, Kadima only got 28 seats. They will have a hard time forming a coalition of leftists even with the Arab party.

Gravatar According to LS, final results from Kfar Chabad:
איחוד-לאומי-מפד"ל - 599
, מרזל - 526
, ש"ס - 208
יהדות-התורה - 196
ליכוד - 119
ישראל ביתנו - 34
גמלאים - 3
עבודה - 2
המפלגות הבאות: מרצ, ירוקים, קדימה ובל"ד - 1.

Gravatar Wow, that is less than 15 hundred votes. That village is much to do about nothing.

Gravatar Interesting that 40% voted for Marzel or non frum parties, against the p'sak of the Beis Din.

Gravatar tzemach compare the turnout in KC to the turnout in the rest of the country.

Gravatar This is not about turnout; add 200% to it, the influence of that village is truly negligible. I bet you a small Bedouin tent city can master more votes than the Chabad center of Eretz Israel.

Gravatar Ma. rabbi--JPost gives Kadima 29--I think your math is off--I do some back of the envelope calculations on the other thread and come up w/left-non-Arab govt.

Gravatar Ma. rabbi--OK--you're right: Kadima now 28 + Labor + Meretz = 52--they just have to add Shas and it's over (or UTJ + Pensioners). Likud has to take Likud + IB + NRP-NU + Balad = 35 and then add and keep together Shas + UTJ = 54-- and still short. Throw in the Pensioners and you just make the 61--it's a lot to hold together (and expensive).

Gravatar To Paul,
Dont be so sure that Labor will join the Kadima coalition.

Gravatar The overall results:
Kadima: 28
Labor: 20
Shas: 13
Israel Our Home: 12
Likud: 11
National Union-NRP: 9
Pensioners party: 7
United Torah Judaism: 6
Meretz: 4
Arab parties: 10

Gravatar Ma. rabbi--better for Labor to put enough pressure to get some nice chairs than to sulk at Peres and wait for what? new elections? IB to form a marriage of convenience with Kadima?

Gravatar What a relief that Yossi Beilin's party of treacherous deadbeats was put in the poorest showing. As for Olmert's success I suppose we should remember Rabbi Avika's response to the fox.

Gravatar One third of Kfar Chabad's voters ignored the psak of rabbanei anash. It shows how much authority they have. The only silver lining in my oppinion:6 votes for Aleh Yarok...
