don't you need to be retired for 5 years to be eligible?
And shouldn't there be a committee voting?

what's your vote?
P.S. The only commentator who might be retired is FOS.

Let's see.
I'm new here, so for me it's between Tony's eloquence versus Schneur's sheer depth (oxymoron?) in knowledge of Chabad scandals & politics... I vote Schneur.
Tony 'barks up the wrong tree' on occasion.
Example: "The Rebbe's idea of Kiruv was fueled by Ahavas Yisroel... merely to make Judaism accessible to Jews. Not to turn them into Blackhatters."
What about Hafatzas HaMa'ayoneis? Curious...

Berl,Crown Heights gets my award for the most pompous and conceited poster, only his partisan views top his hubris

Berl and Shneur tie for my vote. Both are partisan and informative while neither is too partisan. I would love to be at a farbrengen with both of them present. Tony has much promise, but needs more time and experience and a little more eidelkeit. He can learn from my two selections.

Is this a blog requiem or just end of season MVP awards?
Anyhow, I vote for Gandalin, who is by far the most interesting (if infrequent) commenter.
Special awards:
Schneur & MIB – best archivists.
faruq – best conversation.
Dispel – most hartzig.
Tony & S.H. – best writing.
FOS – cutest.
P.S. Naturally I did not vote for myself only to demonstrate my humility (which, in turn, makes me an even greater Godol).

Hirshel Tzig seams like a nice fellow in person but he does his best to be a complete moron in his writings. For example the comment here. Who pulled his tongue to leve a not constructive negative jive. Not even true. And to boot he recommends a "committee" - an appalling, totalitarian vestige. What a Putz! What an idiot!

Berl,
Than you for your kind mention. Most of the things that Tzemach posts are either above my head or out of my experience, and being -literally- tabula rasa, I don;t have much to add about them. Occasionally, when I feel that a vort might not be unwelcome, I'll offer a thought.
I've always enjoyed the insights I've gained from the repartee between you and our host.
All the best,
Gandalin
