As SZ posts real old-time chasidus is slipping...but not only in Satmar but sadly EVERYWHERE.
And of course Lubavitch is even in a worse matzav [as Satmar have a choice of 2 or 3 rebbes and a dozen satmar 'satellite' rebbes]. But the Chabadnik is left with a few memories - if he is old enough, and the young generation with a few videos and the behaviour of the the mob.

Gronem, brilliant idea! Why not crown Gerard Menuhin, the son of Yehudi Menuhin and descendent of the AR as next Lubavitcher Rebbe? He is looking for a job and a little bit antisemitic and maybe also not even Jewish.But who cares, if the yichus is right.
The Menuhin's are not only eineklach of the Alter Rebbe; they also descend from The Mitteler Rebbe and The Tzemach Tzedek and R. Yisroel Noach of Nezhin and of course from Sanegor shel Yisrael Reb Levi Yitzchok of Berdichev.
Another interesting familial connection that exists:
Yehudi Menuhin's Zeide Yitzchok Eizik Menuhin had a sister Leiba who was the mother of R. Schneur Zalman Schneerson of Paris and Mrs. Yehudis Butman...
