Actually one of the biggest challenges to people going on shlichus today, is the culture of entrepeneurship.
a. Many of our yungeleit grew up with the dream of opening their own place, now there is simply no place.
b. Those who end up working for someone often end up in tzuris, because we are not culturally adjusted for an employer-employee relationship.
c. The very notion of shlichus and it's motivation stems from the idea that there is a direct connection from the meshaleach to the shliach. This creates many problems in the work environment where the vision for the company is formed by the employer.
d. The employers themselves have not adjusted to the difference between them and their employees, expecting them to be as motivated as they are, not realizing the amount of dependence the emloyee has on them. d.They often expect the yugeleit to outgrow them (becoming their own boss), but restrict them from the tools to do so.
