I think that these guys are living in fantasy land if they believe that their family and the community would "disown them" because of their music. Frankly I think that no one would care a bit. Even though there was an article about them in the local Jewish News I haven't heard anyone talking about them - good or bad.
Possibly this is symptomatic of the apathy of the community in general - or maybe just that there are more important things to worry about these days than the "music" that some bochrim are into.

Obviously a bunch of leidigeyers who instead of learning gemara or Tanya are behaving like a shikurim...I am sure that their parents are VERY impressed at how their chachkelech are wasting their time.

BTW the pic is outside the Charedi Adass butcher shop, why not the Chabad supervised one?
