I have to agree with einikel of a masmid. Sounds more like plain ol' alienation due to lack of friends with compatible intellect. Changing geography is not the probable cure.

but i don't think snagdisz is necessarily wrong. the question is why "the lack of friends with comatible intellect". does snagdisz mean because they are so hard to find?

Probably said this before, but imo, TA you should have a place you feel "at home"--that you feel you belong there and beyond that are happy you are there (I guess some people may feel they belong in squalor)--that you are in your makom. I wouldn't get too hung up on comparative IQ's.
