1) translated from some other language
2) a linguistic slip.

In any case, it has some not necessarily wrong, but distinctly archaic ring to it.
Very doomsday style.

G-d's Blog sounds like the author is upgrading the "inscribed" and "sealed" metaphors to electronic technology. Do you have a problem with that? Granted, the internal rhyme sounds inappropriately corny.
