There are only two kinds of Lubavitchers: Those who acknowledge the problems and throw their hands up in despair, and those who deny them or sweep them under the carpet. I have yet to meet even one who has some kind of practical solution.

Since Lubavitch has basically forgotten its ethnic past with the whole culture (language, food, dress etc) that goes with it) as well as the esoteric teachings of Chassiduth which are hardly emphasized these days. In addition there is no longer any rebbe in Chabad since 1994, why should I and many like me care as to what goes on in Lubavitch the organization. Indeed Lubavitch does much good work as do the Orthodox Union,Esh Hatorah, Lakewood etc.Do I care as to the politics in lakewood (and I am fairly certain they too have politics alongside the Learning). Do I care about the politics in Belz, Vishnitz, Satmar, Ponoviesz . They make for "tchekave" reading, but what interest is there really.
Lubavitch of today is of interest to the shluchim, thier extended families , the nachalniks in the movement like the teachers etc and I guess those who wish to do shidduchim in the party. But for the interested by stander there is no longer any interest . At least thats the way I feel.By the way whats new in Spinka ?
