Schneur

please mach zich nisht Tamivate. I was told today by a Yeshivisher businessman from the West Side that 400 Lubavitchers walked to the West Side, 3 hours each way! They were "Mechazek the West Side". They come to the Shtiblech and are MESAMEACH YIDDEN!

So you found a few Meshichisten, we're very proud of you.

This is a bit of an absurd complaint. They just wanted to go where the party is. Simple.

Would you want to walk five hours to a dead shul?

a."13-14 year old bachurim"
b."they spoke no Yiddish and hardly any Englsih".

In light of these stated facts, I wonder whether SNZ of NY is trying to infer to a widespread phenomenon amongst Lubavitchers.
In fact, one would assume that these young kids had no idea of KAJ and its whereabouts.

Instead, we could focus on the evidential occurrence, based on the provided information: the boys where determined to walk to the Bronx. Why? They were told to do so. When SNZ offered them to go elsewhere, their initial 'Lubavitch' instinct told them "hey, we got a mission to do". Only a few blocks down, where they met up with some other lubavs, they where convinced to abandon mission and compromised on a different Shul.

My reflections are rather on the rejection of (young) lubavitchers to take 'eitzses' coming from 'outsiders' (assuming that SNZ doesn't appear as a lubavitcher).

1.Who said that as Israelis they didn't take the train on the 2nd day of Yom Tov?

2. Who cares how many hundreds of people went to other places? This is an eyewitness report. Its value is the first hand account regardless of the boichrim intentions or occurrences in the other boroughs.

Gravatar I was in a shul where a group of 5 lubies came. They were dull as doormats.

Gravatar These Tahaluchas were planned by the Rebbe early on,n to be military type campaigns. The troops were seen off by their commander in chief with much fanfare and song and dance as we can see in many John Wayne movies when the US cavalry leaves the fort to fight" them Indians." Here too the troops fanned out to hostile neighborhoods that needed civilizing like Wlliamsburg, East Flatbush and Borough Park. These points had to be taken over and given the message of CH. amessage of hope .
Otherwise the bachurim could have made arrangements in these various communities to sleep over ,eat with, daven with, learn with their host communites for a day or 2 and then be mesamaech TOGETHER with them rather be MESAMAECH them, as if Lubavitch has some sort of Simcha monopoly.
But its good military training to have the new recruits march sometimes for hours and even better military policy to limit the amount of fraternizing with the enemy ,after all if these young Tmimmim spent 36 hours with some Tore VeDaas people or Bobover people or Hungarian baal habatim or German Jews they might discover that they too have Torah and Yiras Shomayim !!!And then they would have to wonder why they were sent there at all?

Gravatar Very interesting. It really seems that that this website has quite a clear agenda.
