What is this conference about? Who called it? What is its agenda? Is anything about it being written anywhere besides this blog?

Whatever the goals, the fact that they do it in secret doesn't help their own cause. But what do they care, as long as they can spend Kaplan's money, lots of it.

Yes Lazer, you are shut emotionally and need a shot (banish the thought in the context). Next time you see me, take a moment to treat me as someone who is worthwhile to give a second of your life. It is important to me and might be important to other people you are with. I was sitting there grasping for humanity and you just walked away. And you do this every time you come to Boston.

You have a funny way of communicating a need. If you are seeking companionship all you need to do is open yourself up to it. Every time I meet you I get the impression that you are prepared to cut my head off. That is the only reason you find me so uncommunicative.

I was impressed by the caliber and number of Gedolim that participated and endorsed the conference.

However, with the exception of very few presentations I found most of the conference a waste of time. Most Rabbanim did not share anything significant or innovative, they juist went over old territory and basic facts.

Just the same, the goals of the EJF are impressive and sweeping. I hope they succeed and wish them well. I hope they don't feel the need to cut down others on their way to growth and success.
