Sidney, this fine logic presumes that the Neshomos are still being ‘made’. I have not seen any made Neshomos in a long time, particularly out there in the communities.
If in fact a Shaliach “A” really makes a Neshomo his relationship with such Neshomo is ‘love hate’ and goes way beyond the Minyan attendance.
Your description of almost children like love of the said Neshomos is something I personally never witnessed. I am not sure it exists.

Whose children do you think are filling the Chabad "Hebrew Academies"?

I don't know about this "Love Hate" relaitionship or where it exists. I can tell you that you have a very "Crown Heights" attitude about shlichus and shluchim;it reflects the relationship that anash have torwads each other in Crown heights, very top down. It's not like that in the "field".

The shluchim who have built their communities one yid at a time truely care about their people they are there for "them" not for themselves and they do make neshomas. These shluchim have toichen, they can teach, they are open and warm, they are idealistic. Each shliach brings his unique personality and way to the shlichus.

I don't know you so I can't say why you never witnessed the love. But you might think about "how" you look at things to better understand what you are seeing.

Sidney, I don't have a "Crown Heights" attitude but I might have a "Boston" attitude. I am trying to be honest in what I say but it is telling that you reduced my comments to "my own problem". How typically "Crown Heights".
