Tzemach,

Unfortunately you perhaps did not have your "birth" and "growth" with One Shliach who cared. What Sidney is saying is very much the case, when a Shliach "finds" a soul and then nurtures it like a child in its growth, not only spiritually but as well physically.

Most if not all Baalei Teshuvas have "issues" like all human beings have, and with Chassidus they are molded to become better human being down to the nitty gritty things of life. And the Shliach is very much like a parent moving and growing along with all the ups and downs of the growth at it becomes a certain kind of "my work to take pride in".

When a Baal Teshuvah is "stolen" by a competitor Chabad House, because the poor soul knows no better this usually is great aggravation and tzaar on the part of the "parent" who brought him into the world of "Torah" and making him the mentsch they are still very much working with. Usually when this happens the Shliach has Tzaar and the Baal Teshuvah who was in the process of being "baked" suffers the most. Most of the time if not all of time the Baal teshuvah doesn't realize how much he loses by this distancing himself from his "sponsor" to life.

>>what do you do when there is a perfect storm of collective nothingness colliding head on with a personal >>nothingness? How do you hold on?

a good Mashpia, should help focus your life onto the REAL matters of life. The world is a dream with many colliding contradicting energies. Only Chassidus studied properly, can ground and anchor a person in such a way that when the winds try to confuse our sense of what really is real and what is fake we can refer to the objective truths that keeps us from blowing over.

Your question is a stage in life that many if not all thinking growing people go through. Some will turn to drugs, harder work, more vacations, etc for an answer and perhaps for them it is a answer, temporarily a distraction not to face real answers, for a Chassid a Torah Yid our truth, as a Yid is "our" instruction manual" written for the way WE are wired , our answer is " Veatem hadveikim BaHashem -- Chaim kulchem kol hayoim".

fuck the mashpias. i don't need any. I have been writing this blog for other two years. Many read it but even once was I approached with an offer of tangible help? And believe me I can use some now. It boggles my mind that not a single person reached out to me in real life. This is all one needs to know.

Gravatar The truth is - let's not fool ourselves here - that we aren't really interested in a relashionship with G-d and all that it entails. If we really were, we would have one.

Gravatar that should be, "relationship"

Gravatar >>fuck the mashpias. (-:

You're probably right. But "If I'm not for me..who (else) will be??

Tzemach, lots of people enabled (made friends with) Anna Nicole because it gave THEM a venue for their perverted goals.

We appreciate this venue to vent, at the same time I feel lots of people realy care, for you, unless it's all shtick.

The hard truth, especially these days is, "If I'm not for me..who (else) will be..

Pick yourself up at the bootstraps and valger zich aroom in places that are positive and blessed, it will surely rub off (in).

Gravatar what do you need TA?

Gravatar where are you going to be on Purim?
