Tzemach, Evidently they updated the story since you posted the link. There is in fact no evidence of arson:

"Because of controversy involving the group, Neturei Karta, police first labeled the fire suspicious. But investigators found no accelerants, and later all but ruled out arson.
"Because of the controversy involving this group, there has been much discussion about the cause of the fire," said Town of Ramapo police spokesman Lt. Brad Weidel. "We want it known that arson does not appear to be the cause, and we believe this fire was started accidentally."
