What a remarkable collection of unhappy-looking children! Almost all of the images show children who should be delighted with a big celebration and obviously are not.

I see several possible explanations:
- the photographer didn't relate to his/her subjects and shot them with no understanding.
- the photographer was TRYING to shoot unhappy images.
- the children really are unhappy.

Amazing, really...
