1. "Instead of accepting the world we strive to mold the world in the shape of our image on how it should be...the trick is to let the world come to you, not to mold the world according to your image"

2. "after seeking in vain meaning in the Judaic discourse "

Why is the solution in 1 not being applied to the problem in 2?

Akshan, we can't stop observe and think but you are right, I can play Judaism with no problem.

What I'm saying is to take Judaism as a given, and make the most of it, instead of being continually disappointed and frustrated by it.

I think it is too late for this approach for me. Next life perhaps.

I am consumed by survival today. I fight life and death every second of every day.

I know it's a cliché, but it's never too late. Heck you are not even that old! Can't you take a step back, and look at it all again in a more positive light?

Gravatar Tzemach,

Do a post on the worship of Barack Obama as an analogue of how chassidim adulate their Admorim.

It would be a unique application of your particular insights and experiences to a phenomenon of wide interest.

G.

Gravatar Akshan, in accordance with the 1st rule I am not assuming anything and I am not pushing anything. If the water flows that way I am cool with it, but I am not going out of my way, no way, no how.

Gravatar Gandalin, jews who moved from country to county learned these fundamental truths.

1. Every system is bad.
2. You need to figure out how to game a given system.

In this light I am always amazed why in America the leadership is such an important and all consuming topic. I personally know people who would move out of the country if Obama looses. This is beyond silly and we humans fall into this trap again and again.

Gravatar You are right, it is silly. But I think they are just posturing. I don't think any of the Hollywood lefties who threatened/promised to move out of the country after George Bush's election actually did.

That being said, leadership is important. The difference between a great leader and a bad leader in business can be the difference between outrageous profits and bankruptcy.
