You can be sure that a primary effort of ours is to replicate the comment data.
Once this is finished and we have preserved all of the data [in duplicate] we will transition the HaloScan script over to JS-Kit.
We have taken a lot of effort to ensure that the look, feel, and all major features will be preserved.

I am looking forward to the new features. Ability to display comments on the post page is a high priority.
The source of major frustration is that I am unable to Fetch Blog Post Titles from Blogger (it worked in the past). I was not able to resolve this with the HaloScan support. (note that Haloscan Forums page is blacklisted on FireFox as “malicious site”)
Recent comments widget from Haloscan is rather poor. It worked much better with the third party LastHalo, but he abounded his project, unfortunately.
Ability to export and synch comments is also very important.
