What's odd about this, is that we haven't had a single quarter of no growth or contraction in the economy, so technically, this is not even a recession at all.

And what was stopping GM? Poor engineering, poor design, poor quality, and antiquated work rules. Only the antiquated work rules imposed by the union contract would be difficult to change.
