The Coens are not wonting in praise from me but I happened to stumble upon Miller's Crossing years ago and became an immediate fan of the films of the Coen brothers. Have you seen the Big Lebowski or O' Brother, Where Art Thou (based on Homer's Odyssey)- masterworks all - l'fi anias da'ati.

You never even told me you watched the film. I would have given you more recomendations.

BTW - everything that people say about the storyline from Usual Suspects (which one Best Screenplay at the Oscars) is doubly true of Millers Crossing which had no box office success.

People who were blown away by the ingenious twists of Usual Suspects probably couldn't even follow Miller's Crossing.

the dialogue is very dense and they use a lot of slang. I love the dictionary here:
