While I do not understand Russian, and it would be great if you could post the Russian lyrics in English, we all owe these great formations of brave men a huge debt of gratitude for the burden of battling and destroying the Nazi hordes.

Without the soldiers in these photos, Hitler would have won and there would be no Jews, no Russians, no non-Nazis around.

Thank you great people of Russia for the immense sacrifices you made to fight for and save humanity (even though you were under the cruel rule of the Communist tyranny of Stalin and Stalinism.)

In honor to my late father who fought with thse great men in the rough and gruff Red Army, but who had the great sense to flee Russia at the end of the war because he did not wish to live in Stalin's Russia under any circumstances!
