Dudu was born from a Brochoh of the Rebbe Rayatz. That's what he said on numerous occassions. I don't think his parents were Polish though.

Just a factual note. The song my Shtetele Belz(sic) is a Yiddish show tune. It was composed with the city in Bessarabia (Eastern Rumania ) called Beltz or Beltzi in mind , not Belz in Galicia. This is a common error.
