In the world that you would create, my friend, would there be courage . . . but no fear? Love . . . but no hate? Excellence . . . but no mediocrity? Light . . . but no darkness?

a silly logic, dualism is so tired, anyone understands that reality has more than two poles.
Jewish religion is a neuroses and should be abolished, the sooner, the better.

I'm not talking dualism, but about the horizons of experience. Those aspects of the world that you find so abhorrent are necessary for those aspects that you prefer.

may be they are necessary for you, be my guest.
but don't presume what is necessary for me, let alone don't have a chutzpa to presume what is necessary for the world. the jingles would not do.

you are the only long time blogger on the blog who remain antonymous. I find this distasteful.

I don't presume to describe what you find necessary for yourself.
But it isn't chutzpa to accept the world as it is, and try to understand why it is that way.
My understanding of what is necessary for the world is simply a reflection of my studies of physics, chemistry, biology, and philosophy, including what little I know of the Jewish metaphysical tradition.

I am sorry that you feel my pseudonym creates a distasteful barrier. I respect your point of view about that. I do not think that I have used the existence of a pseudonym to abuse you or anyone else here, nor as a mask behind which to hide when flinging scurrility.
I will repeat again that I think that mentalblog has over the past couple of years provided a unique resource, well worth the time that I have spent reading your posts, thinking about them, and commenting on them.
You have repeatedly stated that you are bored with blogging, that you find online interactions trivial and pointless. I have no grounds upon which to disagree.
I wish you, sincerely, nothing but the best. Lehitra'ot.
Gandalin out.

my point exactly, it is easy to disappear when you wear a mask. There is no decency, friendship or honor required.

Tzemach, stop picking on Gandalin and God for the worst of reasons, anger and frustration.
Stop it.

Whatever.
You know full well that Judaism teaches that the neshamah in every Jew is part of God. It's not poison either, it's life. But then again, as the saying goes, one man's bread is another man's poison.

Just some eye candy to dispel the black mood. The article on how he created these photographs and the modern technique now used is fascinating.
