That's awful and horrifying!
Was this an accident or a suicide? I know a lot of the CTA-related deaths tend to be suicides.
Have you ever noticed how, when a Metra train is late, they'll give frequent announcements, and they'll be so precise with how late they are: "This train is operating seven minutes behind schedule." And then another announcement will come on saying it's nine minutes.

Hi ShaneMo,
I know. I felt bad yesterday after being so selfish and here someone lost their life. They are saying its an accident, but I really don't understand how you can get hit by a train. I wonder if she was on a cell phone or had an ipod on.
What all of us at work were thinking was that she didn't know it was an express train (that's why I got off at Glenview because they were expressing it to Union Station) and thought she had time to cross the tracks and it was moving quicker than she thought. But I counted yesterday its only about 5 steps to get over one side of the tracks. I guess I've never tried to get that close, but I just can't comprehend it. I don't understand why I'm spending so much time thinking about this, but I think everyone is a little more careful when they cross the tracks.
