RCN is absolutely useless. I have been having an interference problem for about a year now. I am constantly told that they cannot credit me until they correct the problem, but they cannot find the problem. Their own techs witness it over and over but have not been able to resolve it.
When I finally say I refuse to wait anymore for a credit, they tell me I have to talk to customer accounts between 9 and 5 Monday through Friday. Of course, if you have a job, this is impossible, since I have never called and not had to wait for over 35 minutes. When I finally took a day off to call, I was offered $13 credit when I pay over $100 per month and this has been going on for more than a year.
This is absolutely ridiculous and they could care less about their customers. Of course, they have me on Autopay and have never had a problem billing me for services that I have not received. I hate RCN, they suck and are the worst provider out there.

I agree with you entirely. Unfortunately I just moved and my building has a special with RCN so basic cable is included in my monthly assessments. Since I have to pay them anyway (and its only $19) I guess I will stick with them, but I went with AT&T for my phone and internet. I'll be damned if I give RCN an extra cent.
Have you tried any other cable companies? When I got fed up with RCN at my last place, I canceled and got Comcast. Although RCN seems to give you more channels and free on demand for the premium channels, when the service is inconsistent, what does it matter?

I'm so sorry my music assaulted you. Although I’m not quite sure how music can assault anyone. I wonder if you were surfing the internet while you were supposed to be working and my music gave you away. Just a little tip for you, when you are doing something that you aren’t suppose to on your computer at work, it is always a good idea to turn your sounds off first.
